“This is the future of spraying”

The new standard: Full spraying control with BBLeap

“In the past, you sprayed everything the same way: one setting, no adjustment possible. Now, I can tailor the spray to what the tree actually needs—less at the top, more at the bottom, where most of the leaves are.

Thanks to BBLeap, I can adjust, steer, and optimize—and that really makes a difference. The coverage is excellent, and I have full control. To me, this is the future of spraying.”

“BBLeap completely changed the way I spray—it’s more efficient, more precise, and gives me full control. I don’t want to go back.” – Job Duine

Job Duine – Farm manager at Van Kessel Fruit

That’s how Job Duine, farm manager at Van Kessel Fruit in Oud Vossemeer, describes his experience. On 25 hectares of pears, he’s now in his second season using the KWH Leap Edition sprayer. BBLeap’s technology has completely changed the way he works.

“I’m really satisfied,” says Job. “We used to apply the same amount from top to bottom. Now, I can precisely set where I want more or less product. That’s just much more efficient.”

“I used to doubt the outcome—now I trust every pass.” – Job Duine

From doubt to confidence

Initially, Job had doubts. “The nozzles constantly open and close, so I wondered: am I actually covering everything?” Those concerns disappeared when he saw the spray pattern. “The coverage is excellent, and the test results confirm it. When you walk behind the sprayer, you see a perfectly even spray.”

That assurance gives him peace of mind. “Before, I’d finish a spray job and wonder if it was done properly. Now I know the application is spot-on. And if the results aren’t quite right, I just tweak the settings next time. I no longer question the execution.”

Targeted spraying with tree profiles

What Job appreciates most is the control he now has. “Before, we treated every tree the same. Now, I can create tree profiles and tailor the spray accordingly. At the bottom, where there’s more leaf, I spray more intensely. At the top, where there’s less, I avoid wasting product into thin air. It saves chemicals and reduces drift. That is not only more efficient but also better for the plant.”

Adjusting the settings is also quicker and easier. “Before, you had to manually close a valve. Now, it’s all digital. That not only makes the work easier but much more precise.”

Consistent coverage, always the right droplet

With BBLeap’s PWM system, the spray pattern stays completely consistent—no matter the driving speed. “We typically drive 6.3 km/h, apply 350 liters per hectare, and maintain 10 bar pressure. The droplet size remains constant, and you see that immediately in the coverage.”

Because the system automatically manages the pulsing output, there’s minimal room for error. “Whether I drive a bit faster or slower, the quality of the spray pattern stays perfectly even. That gives me real confidence.”

“Pure performance, no fuss—BBLeap lets you spray the way it should be done: accurately, evenly, and fully under control.” – Job Duine

Ready for the next step: Real-time precision spraying

Job is optimistic about what’s next. “I really believe in the camera technology BBLeap is working on. If you can detect pears and respond instantly, that opens up huge opportunities. Task maps are great for memory—but a camera sees the tree in real time. That’s a game changer.”

But even without those extras, the current system already delivers strong results. “We’re now spraying better at the base level—and that’s a solid foundation to build on. For us, BBLeap has become the new standard.”
