About the Company
Wim works at Oskam, a business specializing in the cultivation of apples and pears. In addition to growing, Oskam is also active in trading, sorting, and cooling their products. “We have about 37 hectares of fruit, of which 20 hectares are pears and 17 hectares are apples,” says Wim.

After ten years of using their KWH 3-row sprayer, it was time for an upgrade. Due to their good experience with the KWH sprayer, they once again chose a KWH model—this time with the BBLeap spray system. “We were already familiar with the KWH, and with the new BBLeap system, we had the opportunity to work even more precisely. For us, it was a logical choice,” Wim explains.

One of the main advantages of the LeapBox is the ability to set spray pressure independently—achieving the same output per hectare whether using lower or higher pressure. “This results in finer droplet sizes, which provides more effective coverage without additional waste,” Wim explains.

“At first, it took a little getting used to, but the system is very user-friendly,” says Wim. “The ease of use comes from assigning nearly all functions to the row joystick in combination with the 3L joystick of the latest generation Fendt. This way, you have full control at your fingertips. Both the tractor and sprayer are connected via ISOBUS. Setting row width, liters per hectare, nozzle selection, etc., all happens via the Fendt screen. Additionally, you can open or close the top nozzles from the cab during operation, as well as flush the tank, lines, and nozzles. Headland management saves time and actions during turning at the end of rows.”
